Vision & Values

  • As a former school board director, lifelong public school teacher, and current 4th grade educator, I’ve seen firsthand what our students and educators need to thrive - and how often those needs go unmet. I have advocated as a teacher, union member, and school board director for school funding, lobbying in Olympia and meeting directly with legislators to demand that Washington State uphold its paramount duty: to amply fund public education for every child. I believe that fully funding education isn’t optional - it’s essential. On the school board, I will continue to be a strong, experienced voice for students, educators, and families, working to ensure that every classroom has the resources to deliver a high-quality, inclusive public education.

  • Every student deserves to learn in a safe, healthy, and modern environment that supports their growth and well-being. As a current 4th grade teacher and former school board director, I know that high-quality facilities are essential for student success, but many of our buildings are aging and in need of critical updates. I believe in working collaboratively with families, staff, and community members to build strong support for the levies and bonds that provide the funding our schools need. I’m committed to advocating for facilities that reflect the excellence we want for every child. By investing in our buildings, we are investing in our future and I will work to ensure that our students have the safe and supportive learning environments they deserve.

  • As a current 4th grade teacher, active union member, and former school board director, I understand the importance of clear communication and meaningful partnership between district leadership, school staff, families, and the broader community. I’ve seen how positive relationships grow when all voices are heard and decisions are guided by openness and accountability. My vision is to foster a school culture where collaboration isn’t just encouraged - it’s expected. When we create space for honest dialogue and shared problem-solving, we build a stronger, more supportive system – one where everyone feels valued and our collective efforts stay centered on what matters most: the success and well-being of our students.
